Habeeb Ali Stars in Zonah's nail biting victory over MSF CC



MSF CC Managed to put up a decent score of 146 after being put in to bat by Zonah. Their opener Vamshi was the highest scorer with 35 runs of 33 balls and had a good partnership with Rameez who after surviving a close call when the umpire turned down a caught behind of Zonah spinner Bilal’s first delivery, went on to score 18 of 21 balls. It took a great catch in the outfield by Hasan to dismiss Vamshi off Akshay’s bowling.
Shravan played some good straight drives including a straight 6 before he was dismissed by Atif you took a brilliant diving catch off his own bowling. Fammu remained not out at 28 off 24 balls at the end of the innings. Atif was the pick of the bowlers with his 4 overs 15 for 2.

In their chase Zonah were off to a very slow start with only 7 runs coming off the first 2 overs, things got worse for Zonah when Fammu got the wicket of Hasan 12(10) in the 4th over and Vamshi got Choudhary 2(4) in the 5th. Atif and Qutub 19(17) put together a 30 run partnership before Zonah lost 2 more wickets. Atif was finally dismissed for 27 of 39 balls and 3 balls later Akshay 12(15) was caught LBW by Rameez.

Zonah needed about 65 runs in 5 overs with 2 new batsmen at the crease. Raaed was middling the ball right from the start and hit the first ball he face for a boundary before finishing with a crucial 16 of 11 balls with 3 boundaries. Habeeb Ali was hitting the ball all over the park and brought Zonah back in the game.
Zonah needed 11 runs to win of the last over and the was going to be bowled by MSF CC’s opening bowler Vamshi. Ali got a couple of two and finished the inning with back to back boundaries winning the game for Zonah with 1 ball to spare!
